Overview
This is an online test that you will take in Year 11. It is a literacy test and so will quiz you on your grammar, spelling and knowledge on different types of text. If you pass level 2 then this is classed as a half grade E/F at GCSE!
What will I Learn?
This is an online test that will take approx one hour and you will have 40 questions to answer.  There is no particular preparation for this test apart from your general knowledge.  You will be tested on grammar, paragraphs, spelling and general literacy.  Depending on ability, some students will be fast tracked straight to level 2.  If level 2 is passed, this is the equivelant to a grade B at GCSE.  A Level 1 pass is classed as half a grade B.
What are the Entry Requirements?

We try to test every student in Year 11 so that you all get the chance to gain the extra GCSE but at the moment we are testing 80%.  This % is growing every year and so in the next couple of years we hope to put every Year 11 through to the test.
