Overview
Accounting will give you an insight into accounting procedures and explore the way a company deals with its finances from the initial recording of money and goods in and out of the business (bookkeeping) and the preparation of final accounts for publication to costing its products, preparation of budgets and forward planning its investment programmes of capital expenditure on fixed assets. Accounting is useful for a career in the Business, Finance or Accounting sectors.

What are the Entry Requirements?

If you achieve five grade B’s and above at GCSE you may choose four AS Level subjects, at least three of which must be from the full A Level list.
If you intend to drop your fourth subject at AS then you should choose from the AS only list ordiscuss this at interview (see individual subjects foradditional entry requirements).
If you achieve less than five grade B’s but above five grade C’s at GCSE you chose three AS Level subjects from the full A Level list (see individual subjects for entry requirements) and one subject from the AS only list.
If you achieve Grade D and above at AS Level, you may continue onto the A2 Level  programme with three A2 Level subjects.

Recommended text books are approximately £20 - £25. A reading list will be given to you at the beginning of the course.
